Flora Lilak
Contemporary Artist
My work explores perception, memory and the structures through which we make sense of experience.
I am interested in what holds things together: relationships, patterns, repetitions and the invisible connections that shape how we understand ourselves and the world around us.
Working across drawing, collage and installation, I develop bodies of work that evolve through observation, process and discovery. Rather than following a predetermined outcome, each series unfolds through its own internal logic.
The work becomes a way of tracing connections that are often felt before they can be named.
Selected Series
The Prayer
A monumental drawing cycle developed over nearly a decade.
Across eight interconnected panels, symbolic figures, architectural structures and energetic systems form a continuous visual landscape shaped by cycles of perception, attention and transformation.
Cartographies of Permission
Drawings generated through rule-based systems, chance encounters and the emergence of unexpected relationships.
Emergence
A body of work exploring how physical processes shape visual form. Movement, gravity and chance become active participants in the development of each piece.
Lineage
Collage-based works exploring memory, belonging and the threads connecting individual lives across generations.
